Connect Your Calendar (onboarding step 3)
Connect Google Calendar (or Outlook) so the AI meeting agent can join your recurring meetings and produce notes.
This step comes after your company and is headed “Connect meetings to your goals”. It asks you to connect Google Calendar or Outlook so Brev can see your upcoming meetings and join the ones you tell it to. It's optional: you can skip and connect a calendar later, but the meeting agent doesn't do anything until a calendar is connected.
Continue becomes available once a calendar is connected. When you come back from connecting, a message confirms “Your calendar was connected”, the row you used reads Connected, and Skip goes away.
If the connection doesn't go through, a “Calendar connection failed” message says why and the button is ready to try again. The most common cause is leaving calendar access unchecked on Google's consent screen: connect again and make sure the calendar permission is checked.
Your options #
- Connect Google Calendar: the button reads Connecting... and you go straight to Google to sign in and approve access, then come back to this step. Most people do this.
- Connect Microsoft Outlook: same flow, via Microsoft.
- Skip: at the top right of the preview beside the form (at the left end of the button row on a narrow window). Brev moves on to the next step, Add Brev Coworker.
Setting this up later #
Calendar connect/disconnect lives at Settings → AI & agents → Meeting agent (or any time in the main Integrations page). If you skip, the All set review at the end of onboarding reminds you, and a banner in the app offers to connect it.
