Team view

Every team has its own goals view, opened from the sidebar's Teams section, showing the team's goals for the current period.

core

Team views live at /views/teams/<teamUuid>. Brev creates one for every team automatically, and anyone in your organization can open any team's view.

Opening a team view #

Teams have their own section in the left sidebar, Teams (it appears once your organization has at least one team). Expand it and click a team's name; a team with subteams has a chevron to show them. Org admins can add a team from the + (Add new team) on the section's row, or under Settings → Teams.

The page title is the team's name, and the details line under it reads 'Team · <team owner> · <N> subteams · <N> members · <period>'. Hover the members count to see who is on the team.

How they differ from custom views #

  • The view is filtered to goals owned by that team (with their sub-goals in the Nested layout), for your organization's current period.
  • Like Organization, it has Summary and Customize, so you can turn on the Digest and KPI cards for the team.
  • You can change its filters like on any view, but nobody can save over a team view: changes stay your unsaved draft, and Save makes a new view (Public or Private) instead.
  • If the team has no goals for the period but you can see goals elsewhere, the list suggests a filter change such as 'All teams'. Otherwise it shows 'Set goals for <team>' with options to start one.
Best for skip-levels and onboarding new managers
Point a new manager at their team's view on day one. They have everything they need at a glance.
PreviousShared (org-wide) viewAdmins can save a view for the entire org. It shows up in every member's sidebar (they view it like a preset); how each member orders or pins it in their own sidebar is personal.
NextNotificationsMentions, assigned actions, goal activity, meeting recaps and integration alerts routed to you, filterable by type and read state.
