Heat map
Which of your org's goals are getting discussed most: a ranked list, plus overview and treemap views for slicing the tree.
Page title: Heat map. Subtitle: 'View which of your organization's goals are being discussed most frequently.' The score next to each goal is how often it came up in recorded meeting transcripts and public Slack channel discussions during the selected period.
Filters #
- All Goals (named with your organization's word for goals): the dropdown also scopes to Company, or to any top-level team.
- Time period (e.g. Q2 2026): restrict the discussion window to one period, your active periods, or All Time. Known issue: All Time currently covers only the last 30 days.
- Known issue: choosing Company still lists every goal, team goals included, so it currently shows the same list as All Goals.
Visualization tabs #
- Ranked List
- Default. The goal tree with a horizontal bar showing each goal's relative discussion count. Expand a goal to see the titles of the meetings it came up in. Goals nobody mentioned sit together under No mentions at the bottom.
- Overview
- Summary cards plus a sortable table of the same goals.
- Treemap
- Area-weighted rectangle tiling: the more a goal was discussed, the bigger its tile.
How to use it #
Treat the bottom of the Ranked List, and its No mentions group, as a worklist. Goals with low discussion are often goals that have drifted. Either they're no longer real or they need a check-in to revive attention. The top of the list reveals what your meetings actually orbit around.
Who can see it #
Org admins and owners (see Roles & permissions): direct links return a not-found page for anyone else, and the underlying data endpoints reject them. In production the Usage page doesn't show a Heat map tab and the command palette doesn't list it, but the page itself works for any org admin, so a direct link or a bookmark reaches it.
Usage is also a paid module. If your workspace hasn't been turned on for it yet, an admin opening Usage sees the page with its content dimmed behind a card reading See how Brev gets used. Request access opens a short form; sending it notifies the Brev team, and the button then reads Feature requested. Until access is granted the tabs, sorting and filters don't respond.
