Company profile

Your company's firmographic data: industry, size, location, and so on. Brev's AI reads these as context when it generates suggestions and meeting notes.

Open in app
ai
advanced
Workspace → General settings page showing the company profile's firmographic fields (HQ city, industry, revenue, headcount, etc.).
It's firmographic data, not free-form notes
These fields live on Settings → Workspace → General, described as 'What Brev knows about your company'. They used to sit under Features → Company brain, which confused two different things: this is a structured form of firmographic fields you fill in about your company, not a free-form text editor for AI prompts, and not the Company brain feature itself. Only org admins and owners see General.

What you edit on this page #

  • Company Logo: admins can upload a PNG or JPEG (up to 10MB, at least 400px by 400px). Click the logo tile, choose the file, crop it to a square with Apply Crop, then Save. The trash button next to it removes it again. Once uploaded, your logo appears in the top-left of the app sidebar next to your company name. Until you upload one, that spot shows a plain square with your company's initial. Known issue: the crop step can report a large enough image as too small; drag the crop box out to cover almost the whole image and it goes through.
  • Company name: only the org owner can change this; anyone else sees 'Only owners can change the company name'. It needs at least 2 characters.
  • Brand color: this row only appears if Brand Color is enabled for your organization; ask us if you don't see it. Admins can set one color, either by clicking the swatch to open your system color picker or by typing a hex value (both '#1a73e8' and the shorthand '#abc' are accepted). It saves when you click away from the field, and 'Clear' removes it. Your charts and artifact accents are drawn from it, in shades we pick to stay readable on both the light and the dark theme. One thing to know: a generated document keeps the colors it was built with, so changing this recolors the ones you make from now on and leaves the ones you already have alone. It will never recolor the app itself: the sidebar, buttons and menus stay Brev green.
  • Brand color from your logo: with that row on, uploading a logo makes Brev read the main color out of it and drop that color into the brand color field as a suggestion. Nothing is saved until you choose: 'Use it' saves it, 'Dismiss' puts back whatever was there before, and you can type over it if you have the exact hex from a style guide. A black-and-white logo gets no suggestion, because there is no color in it to find.
  • About the company: HQ city, Industry, Sub-industry, Annual revenue, Headcount, Year founded, Capital raised, Ownership status, Funding stage. Each takes up to 100 characters.
  • Company description: free text about what your company does, who it sells to, its competitors and its mission, up to 2,000 characters. Brev puts it into the AI prompts that write your recaps, agendas, insights and suggestions, so the limit keeps it to the essentials. A count under the box shows how much you have used. Past the limit the count turns red with 'Shorten to 2,000 characters to save.', and the description does not save until it fits. A description saved before the limit existed stays as it is, and editing another field still saves.

There is no Save button: each field saves when you press Enter or click away, and a green check flashes beside it. The schema is OrganizationFirmographics in the common types.

How the AI uses this #

Brev's AI agents (the meeting agent, goal insights, Operator) all read your firmographic data as part of their grounding context. Keeping fields up to date, especially industry / sub-industry / employees, measurably improves the relevance of generated check-ins, suggested goals, and agent responses.

There's no free-form 'memory entries' editor here today
If you want to teach Brev tone, acronyms, or hard rules, the place to do that today is by including the convention in the goal description. The company profile on General is structured fields plus one company description.
PreviousMeeting agentAuto-join policy, recap-delivery channels, the agent's name and join message, automatic agenda creation, which meeting types feed goal alignment, and the connected calendar.
NextConnecting an integrationHow any integration in Brev works: the connect flow, what Brev sees, how often it refreshes, and how to disconnect.
