What you get with Excel Online
With Excel Online connected, Brev can use your workbook as a source of truth for KPI tracking, including:
Connecting Excel data directly to Brev Metrics (via Auto-track)
Automatically updating metric values as your spreadsheet changes
Keeping KPI progress visible inside your Goals and KPI Dashboard
Reducing manual check-ins for spreadsheet-driven metrics
Connect Excel Online
Go to Integrations
Find Excel Online and click Connect
Authenticate with Microsoft and approve permissions
Select the correct Microsoft account/tenant (if prompted)
Connect Excel Online to a Metric Directly
Create a Metric, select Auto-track, and select Excel Online
Authenticate with Microsoft and approve permissions (if prompted)
Select the Workbook you want to track
Choose where the KPI lives:
a specific cell (single value KPI), or
a range / table (if you want Brev to calculate something like sum, count, average)
Confirm the metric format (e.g., # count, %, $) and click Save
Success check: Excel Online shows as Connected in the metric and appended to the metric creation dialogue.
Viewing and refreshing your metric
After you save:
You’ll be brought back to your goal view where the metric is created
An Excel icon will appear on the metric/goal showing it’s connected
You can hover to see more details, and click to refresh the data
Note: Brev will sync with Excel Online on a regular cadence, but you can always force a refresh.
