# Getting started in Teams

Use Brev in Microsoft Teams: your admin adds the Brev app, you connect your Teams coworker from your settings, and Brev messages you in a 1:1 chat.

Brev works in Microsoft Teams the way it works in Slack: you message it in a 1:1 chat, and it sends you check-ins, recaps and your coworker's messages there.

## Set it up

1. **Your admin adds Brev to Teams**: A Microsoft Teams admin uploads the Brev app for your organization, and an Org Admin connects Teams on the Integrations page. See [Install Brev in Microsoft Teams (admin guide)](https://help.brev.io/microsoft-teams-admin-install/).
2. **Connect your Teams coworker**: In [AI coworkers](https://help.brev.io/settings-ai-coworkers/), choose Connect Teams on the Teams row.
3. **Say hello in Teams**: Brev's welcome arrives in your 1:1 chat with Brev, usually within a minute. Ask it anything there.

To have Brev answer in a channel, a team owner adds the Brev app to that team, and you @mention Brev in the channel. If your Teams account is not linked to a Brev member yet, Brev replies with how to link it.
