With Slack connected, Brev brings goal updates into Slack, including:

Connect Slack
Go to Integrations
Find Slack and click Connect
Authenticate with Slack and approve permissions
Select the correct Slack workspace (if prompted)
Success check: You received a welcome message from Brev in your Slack DMs:
Setting your Organization's Check In Rhythm (Admins)
Settings → Product (or Workspace → Members)
Anyone who owns a goal that hasn't received a check in <7 days will receive a Slack reminder to complete a goal check-in.
Note: Users must individually complete their own Slack integration connection to receive notifications.
How Slack check-ins work
Brev will send goal owners a Slack message whenever they have goals that have not been checked in on in the last 7 days:
In Slack, users can flip through a carousel of due goals and submit updates without leaving Slack.
Checking in from Slack
From the Slack check-in message, users can:
Set progress
Choose a status
Update the KPI metric
Add a short context update
Submit the check-in (which logs back to the goal in Brev)
Success check: You’re receiving Slack reminders for goals due (< 7 days), and you can complete full check-ins (progress, status, KPI, context) without leaving Slack.
AI-drafted check-ins (in Slack)
If Brev is also connected to your meetings and data tools, Brev can draft goal check-ins automatically—right inside Slack—so users can review, edit, and submit in seconds.
If Brev has data on the goal, you will see the pre drafted check in in the Check-in Notes:
